Emstream was founded in 2018 alongside UK tech start-up Emsurge, to deliver through digitalisation, a more efficient way of trading highly bespoke and traditionally opaque commodity markets efficient.
Emsurge was to provide the software and Emstream the human touch to encourage the adoption of technology in commodity trading. In lieu of the climate crisis in 2021, both companies pivoted together to help scale climate finance through building the crucial digital market infrastructure being demanded by the voluntary carbon market.
